We built this bike for a Bernese cycle messenger needing the feel, qualities and handling of a steel road bike combined with all weather usability and fenders. The Surly Cross Check frame was our choice: Very solid but not too heavy it is made for 700c wheels, V-Brakes and large tires combined with fenders (yes, you see it in the summer version, fenders removed).
We chose ergonomic Syntace Stratos bar and SQLab saddle, mountainbike hubs, bar end shifters and triple crankset to complete a perfect working bike.
