| 6-speed Schlumpf / Sturmey Aarcher by Velostatt | | The Hattara singlespeed by Gorilla Bicycles had to be changed to multiple gears keeping the optics as far as possible. We achieved that goal using a 2-speed gear unit by Schlumpf Solutions built into the crankset, combined with a Sturmey Archer 3-speed hub.
The bike now has a gear range of about 450%! Compare: A road bike with standard transmission of 12-26 rear and 39/53 front has under 300%.
At the same time there is only a small stickshifter for the hub needed, the Schlumpf unit is shifted by the heels.
